What does it mean to live a BIG life?
According to scientists who specialize in brain physiology, the human brain is bombarded with approximately 400 BILLION bits of information every second. Now, try to imagine the size of that number - FOUR HUNDRED BILLION - 400,000,000,000. We can't really comprehend it. You'll have to do some research to understand where all those bits of information come from, but the short answer is they come from your body, your genetics, your environment, your experience and the whole universe of your thoughts.
The human brain is only able to consciously and subconsciously process about 2,000 of those bits of information. Even THAT is an astonishing number, when you consider it's happening EVERY SECOND. The rest of those bits of information just dissipate into nothing-ness. The importance of that 2,000 bits is that everything you know about life - everything you've learned, everything you love, fear, long for - in other words your reality, is determined by the particular 2,000 bits of information your brain processes. We call that 2,000 bits of information your REALITY SET, because it defines your particular reality.
So, doing the math, we could say that your brain is bombarded with 200 Million reality sets every second. Your reality - your whole entire understanding of how life works and how YOU work - is 1 of 200,000,000 other simultaneous realities. The mere fact that you are unaware of these other realities does not mean they don't exist. For example, you may not be aware that there is a $1,000 check in the mail for you, but that doesn't change the fact that it's there.
Everything you can possibly imagine for yourself - every triumph, every magnificent stroke of accomplishment, every delightful fantasy that you've ever had - ALREADY EXISTS in one of those other realities. It's already happening, you're just not able to take advantage of it because you're unaware of it.
Living a BIG life is all about the discovery of that reality. In more practical terms, living a BIG life is about creating the reality you truly want, and then fulfilling on it. No, it's not easy. But so what? You're going to be going through life anyway, aren't you? You're going to be fulfilling some future each and every day of your life. Why not have it be the one that you were born to have. (In case your wondering, you were born to have the most magnificent reality that you can imagine!)
Now, it's no surprise to you that you are not trained to think that way. From the earliest moments of your life, you've been trained in thousands of ways, to take what you get. Probably the last time you were enthusiastically encouraged to kick out the jams and take a big (for you) risk, the last time you were exalted and praised and encouraged overwhelmingly, the last time you were unconditionally, lovingly supported and lifted up when you failed, was when you were learning to walk!
